Overview

What the Bank Verification Hybrid API does

Bank Verification Hybrid takes an account number and IFSC and decides for itself how to verify them. It attempts a penny-less lookup first, and falls back to a penny drop only when the account cannot be confirmed from network data. You get one endpoint and one response shape instead of two integrations and your own routing logic.

Because the cheaper path is tried first, average cost per verification falls well below a penny-drop-only setup while the success rate stays close to it. The response returns the account holder name as recorded by the bank, along with branch details, so you can run your own name-match before releasing a payout.
