What the OCR Aadhaar API does
OCR Aadhaar reads an uploaded Aadhaar image and returns its fields as structured data: Aadhaar number, name, date of birth, gender and full address.
Typing those details by hand is where onboarding slows down and errors creep in, particularly with addresses. Reading them from the card and asking the customer to confirm is faster and produces cleaner data for the verification steps that follow.
