What exactly can background verification check?

Who gives consent for a check?

It depends on how the check is run. In a candidate-initiated check, the candidate gives consent through a secure link. In DIY mode, the team member creating the case accepts consent on the organisation's behalf. Either way, no check runs until consent is on record - that's enforced by the platform, not left to process.

How does the engine decide on each check?

It compares the data provided for the candidate with the data fetched from the source, field by field. Based on what matches, it decides on each check - verified, or flagged for review - and records that in the report with the data behind it.

How fast do results come back?

Checks run against the source as soon as consent is on record, and the summary and report are ready once the engine has made its decisions - no manual stitching or back-and-forth.

Can I verify many candidates at once?

Yes. Raise a single case or upload a batch. Every case lives in one register you can track, so nothing gets lost in an inbox.

What happens to a candidate's data afterwards?

It's encrypted at rest and used only for the checks it was consented to. When it's time to erase it, the encryption key is destroyed so the record can't be recovered.
